I Eat Tweets – The Twitter Application I Wrote

I wanted to try to write a Twitter App for my Windows machine.
I was inspired after seeing a application for the mac called Twitterrific.
I worked on it in WPF first and couldn’t get the task bar icon to control the WPF Tweet window so I decided not to use any WPF in my app. I originally wanted to use WPF because it has nicer windows and smoother fonts, but I guess regular windows forms will have to do for now.

A few of the things I wanted to include like hyper linking links in tweets I didn’t have time to implement. Maybe in a future update.

To download and find out more about my Program and programs – click here to visit my web page www.LESLIEx317537.com and click on I Eat Tweets under the link category Programs.

I hope you enjoy and find some use for the program. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to drop me a email.

Enjoy!

Blue USB Snowball Microphone

My Blue USB Snowball Microphone with Ringer Shock Mount. Sounds a lot better than my Mac’s built in microphone and also allows the left speaker to still be enabled while microphone is being used. The MacBook Pro’s left speaker turns off when using the built in microphone because it is situated very close to the left speaker and normally would just feedback.
It’s huge but, I don’t plan on taking it anywhere with me.

Poland Springs new Eco-Shape Bottle

Check out the new bottles from Poland Spring.  They are more environmentally friendly.  They are thinner and made of 30% less plastic.

GarageBand 4.1.1 Update allows to export to iPhone

I just updated GarageBand along with Quicktime this morning and now it allows you to create custom ringtones in GarageBand and send them to your iPhone.
Neato.

Google formatted page for iPhone and iPod Touch

Google now has formatted the mobile webpage to work with Mobile Safari.  All you need to do is surf to Google’s homepage with Mobile Safari on the iPhone or iPod Touch and it will automatically load up the mobile version.  You can still select the classic regular layout also.  Google did this by using Ajax and other “Web 2.0″ technology.

Cool RC Video Compilation from 2002-2003

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQAlzrERXSU]
My friend edited this video together a while back of our RC stuff.
This one is my favorite, cause it has me hand launching one of my planes upside down, and then hand catching it later.

Also here’s a picture I took of my Tiger Moth after a snow flight a while ago.

New Apple Store in NYC

The new West 14th Street Apple Store opens on Friday, December 7th at 6pm.  It has three floors with one floor dedicated for personal training, free workshops, technical support and more.  They will be handing out commemorative T-shirts and other special surprises while they last.  I wonder if I should make a trip out there to get some stuff.
I swear Apple is going to take over the world.

Windows Live Writer – New Microsoft Live Suite

Microsoft recently released a whole new suite of Live services and programs for Windows XP and Windows Vista.  A new MSN Messenger Live, Photo Gallery Live, Windows Mail Live, and Windows Live Writer Suite.  If you use Vista, the new Photo Gallery Live won’t look much different from the existing Windows Vista Photo Gallery, but it has a upload to Flickr option that makes it easy to upload your pictures right from the gallery.
As I write this post, I’m using the new blogging program from Microsoft called Windows Live Writer.  When I first ran it, it asked me if I want to setup a new Blog using Microsoft’s Live Spaces service or if I all ready had a existing blog somewhere else.  I host Wordpress on my own web site and not on Wordpress so I thought it would be slightly more complicated to setup.
It asked me some information like my Blog URL and my username and password.  Right away it detected what type of blog and started up this neat interface which I am testing out now.  Now I can easily post to my Blog using my PC.  Thanks Microsoft Live.

Logitech Ultra Vision SE Webcam

On Friday I got a Logitech Ultra Vision SE web camera from Amazon.com for  $108.99 – $80 mail in rebate.  Last night I tested it on Ustream and it seemed to work realy well with a good image quality.
If your looking for a good camera with a great image quality I recommend this camera highly if you can find it for a good price.  It is slightly large so it may be better for Desktop use rather than for a notebook or mobile casting setup.
You can find more about the camera here.

RC Plane Video From 2002

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wi7t5frMv-8]
In 2002 I built a RC Plane with floats. I found this old video to share. Enjoy.

Here’s a picture of it on some snow after I gave it a paint job. You can see the water rudder I made using a guitar pick, so it can steer in the water.

While I tried to post this YouTube video, the various methods I found online did not work because I host Wordpress on my own site.
I finally used this plugin here that works great, and allows you to use the [YouTube URL] bracket method.
